Here are the details for our annual day of service. This is our 19th consecutive year volunteering at Hillsides. Frank Tremmel, our project coordinator, has organized a light gardening project around one of the campus dormitories. It will include removal of old vegetation, planting and maintenance of the rose garden. 

A light continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 AM. Lunch will be served at around 1 PM. After lunch, a tour of the campus will be available to those wanting to see more of this beautiful facility. Hillsides (www.hillsides.org) creates a safe place for children by treating abuse, neglect and mental illness; strengthening families; providing special education; and advocating for children's rights. From its inception in 1913 until the present day status as a private, non-profit treatment center, Hillsides works to end the cycle of abuse that destroys children and tears families apart by touching the lives of over 8,000 children and their families each year. Hillsides' main campus is located on 17 acres of rolling hills in a quiet neighborhood in Pasadena. It is comprised of 6 residential cottages and two off-campus satellite treatment homes for teenagers.
