The Los Angeles Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association has worked diligently over the years to offer benefits that encourage and maintain membership.  Our members contribute time, money and effort to further the cause of the chapter and the Alumni Association.  This year the university is recognizing that effort.

The Penn State Alumni Association's Alumni Council Awards Committee stated in a letter to the chapter, "I am pleased to inform you that the Los Angeles Chapter has been selected to receive an award for your new and renewing membership greeting in the Membership category of the 2009 Volunteer Awards Program."

Our chapter was selected from over 80 nominations and nearly 50 affiliate groups.
