A Penn State Homecoming wouldn’t be complete without the traditional pre-game tailgate: a sizzling grill, cold beer, and the company of fellow Penn Staters anticipating another Nittany Lion victory.

At the Penn State Alumni Association’s Homecoming Celebration on Oct. 17, young alumni—and the young at heart—can enjoy tailgating without the work of organizing one. Tailgaters can load up at a buffet of pulled pork, brats, salads, dessert, and beer and wine.

One of State College’s most beloved bar bands, Velveeta, will be on hand playing their popular mix of “cheesy ’80s covers” and the Alumni Blue Band will stop by to stoke the crowd with Penn State fight songs.

The tailgate tent will be conveniently located across Porter Road from Beaver Stadium in Porter Gardens at Lubrano Park, home of Penn State baseball and the State College Spikes.

Admission is $30 for Alumni Association members, $40 for non-members, $15 for children under 18, and free for children 5 and under. To register, go to www.alumni.psu.edu/events.  We will take walk-ins the day of the event. We look forward to seeing you Homecoming Weekend.
