MILK CRATE will screen Saturday 13 March @ 6:00 PM in the 2010 Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film Festival which is held in The Wilshire Screening Room in Beverly Hills, CA.

PSU Filmmaker, John Rice presents a short film shot in 2008 inspired by an old upstairs neighbor on the South Side in the early 1980s.

Long-time resident, Charlie follows local custom and saves his parking spot with a milk crate. Mohawk is new to the neighborhood and not up on the parking protocol.  Floral Duster watches it all from her window. The old and the new mix it up in this tale told in a changing neighborhood - Pittsburgh's South Side.

The short (12 minutes) was one of over 200 submitted films in both features and shorts categories, the festival chose only 17 features and 26 shorts.
