For 98 years, Hillsides (http://www.hillsides.org/ ) has created a safe place for children by treating abuse, neglect and mental illness; strengthening families; providing special education; and advocating for children's rights. From its inception in 1913 until the present-day status as a private, non-profit treatment center, Hillsides works to end the cycle of abuse that destroys children and tears families apart by touching the lives of over 8,000 children and their families each year. Hillsides' main campus is located at on 17 acres of rolling hills in a quiet neighborhood of Pasadena with six residential cottages and two off-campus satellite treatment homes for teenagers.
