The Fight Against Cancer Continues!
Charlie Lustman at PSULA's Lights. Camera. Cure.
Singer,
songwriter, producer and cancer survivor Charlie Lustman has composed the first
ever pop music album about a cancer experience.
Made Me Nuclear, his
collection of twelve pop songs, is designed to help the millions of people
going through cancer by giving them a personal and uplifting account of his
ordeal from diagnosis through recovery.
In
July 2006, Charlie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an extremely rare form of
bone cancer found in his upper jaw. After
two major surgeries and 22 rounds of chemotherapy, Charlie survived the
ultimate challenge. He now reaches out
with a message of HOPE to patients and their loved ones through his music and
example.
Charlie
tells those he meets in cancer centers and theatres across the world, "What's
stopping you in your life? Here I am
with a prosthetic jaw, and I'm singing for you!”
Currently, Charlie is on a Musical HOPE Campaign across America
bringing his positive and inspirational musical message to cancer centers,
wellness communities and schools.
