The eighth-ranked Penn State men's volleyball team (23-5) has earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Championship. The Nittany Lions defeated George Mason, 3-1, for their 14th straight conference title on Saturday, April 28 to earn the automatic berth. Penn State will face No. 1 seed UC Irvine (24-5) who won the MPSF title with a 3-2 victory against Stanford. 

The Anteaters and Nittany Lions will meet on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 6 p.m. at USC's Galen Center in the first semifinal match. Second-seeded USC (23-5), who earned the at-large bid to the championship, takes on No. 3 seed Lewis (26-6) in the second semifinal match at 8 p.m. 

The winners of each semifinal match will meet in the National Championship match on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Galen Center.
