A morning of sun, fun, and community service!  Join members of the Penn State LA Chapter at Venice Beach on October 15th for a Nothin’ but Sand beach cleanup sponsored by Heal the Bay.

The clean-up officially starts at 10AM and ends by noon.  After the clean-up, we’ll migrate to the nearby On the Waterfront Café for no-host food and drinks and some socializing.  The menu and beer/wine list for the café is at www.waterfrontcafe.com

We’ll have a meeting place on the beach near the Registration table for the clean-up.  Look for the PSU Alumni Banner.  Everyone needs to sign a waiver and we’ll have them on-site or you can download one from the Heal the Bay website   www.healthebay.org.

It is desirable [but not a requirement] to register on line with HTB so they can bring adequate supplies.   We have PSULA members on the volunteer staff of Heal the Bay, so the preliminaries will be streamlined for our group.  Buckets and gloves will be provided or you're welcome to bring your own.

The site is Venice Beach at Rose Ave. (NOT at Venice Pier).  Street parking is limited but there are pay lots.  Carpooling is strongly recommended as is arriving by 9:30AM.

Please let us know if you will be attending so that we can arrange to have adequate space for our group at the restaurant.

See you at the beach!
