ABOUT THE CHAPTER

The
Los Angeles Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association - is an affiliate group of the main Penn State Alumni Association in University Park, PA. The Los Angeles Chapter serves Penn State Alumni and friends residing in and around Greater Los Angeles and the Counties of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Ventura, California. Our current membership includes alumni and friends from all walks of life, spanning all ages, and residing in all parts of Southern California.

You do not need to be an alumnus of Penn State to become a member of our Chapter, and you do not need to live within Los Angeles Chapter region. All are welcome (and encouraged!) to become part of our chapter today!

As mentioned above, we do work closely with members of the Alumni office in University Park, PA, to provide local benefits and networks for members in
the Greater Los Angeles area. By working together, we provide an opportunity for members to stay connected to Penn State through many local activities and events throughout the year!

FAQ's

Q: Do I need to be a Penn State Alum in order to purchase a Chapter Membership?

A: No. Any supporter of Penn State can become a member regardless of their previous affiliations with other educational institutions.

Q: Do I need to live or work in Los Angeles County in order to be a member?
A: No. Membership is not limited to residents of
the Greater Los Angeles area. However, a vast majority of our Chapter events and Chapter focus is within the local area.

Q: I am interested in becoming a member but would prefer a paper application and the option to pay by check? What should I do?
A: If you are uncomfortable with submitting your credit card information on our website and would like to request a paper application as well as the option to pay by check, please contact the Chapter Membership Chair for detailed instructions.

Q: I want to get involved but do not want to responsibility of a board position. What can I do?
A: We are always looking for volunteers to assist in our Chapter Operations. If you are interested in lending a helping hand by joining a committee, please contact the Chapter President for details.

Q: I want to offer a benefit or discount to your members?

A: If you have a valuable benefit or discount that you would like to extend to our members, please contact the Chapter President.
